Bio Name Policy
This English version is a translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Vietnamese version, the Vietnamese version prevails.
This policy sets out rules for registration, use, renaming, reservation, dispute resolution, and revocation of bio page identifiers in the form [name].1go.vn. The policy is part of the Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Bio name syntax and format
Each bio page on 1Go.vn is assigned an identifier as a subdomain of the root domain 1go.vn (in the form https://ten-cua-ban.1go.vn/). Valid format includes:
- Length from 3 to 30 characters;
- Contains only lowercase English letters (a-z), digits (0-9), and hyphens (-);
- Does not start or end with a hyphen;
- Does not contain two consecutive hyphens (--).
Bio names are case-insensitive; the system always automatically normalizes them to lowercase upon registration and lookup.
2. Name classification and protection mechanism
To protect the community and prevent fraud, the system classifies names into the following groups:
- Available names: Valid names that have not been registered and are not on the special list; they may be registered immediately.
- Reserved names: Names reserved for technical infrastructure, 1Go brand names, state agency names, administrative units, or public utility services. These names may not be registered freely.
- Names requiring review (Hold): Names containing financial, banking, payment gateway keywords, or popular brands. Upon registration, the name will be placed in a manual moderation queue before activation.
- Names for brand owners (Claimable): Names that match protected trademarks or registered brands. Businesses and lawful owners may request ownership of the name through a process demonstrating control.
3. Verification and claiming brand names
Trademark owners or businesses may request the grant of or complain about the right to use a bio name through an objective verification tier system (badges are not granted based solely on a tax identification number):
- Tier 1: At least one proof of control has been completed: a DNS record on the website that states the organization's tax identification number (TIN), or a confirmation bank transfer with verification that the bank account holder's name matches the legal name.
- Tier 2: Complete DNS verification with a TXT record _1go-challenge.{domain} having the value 1go-bio-verify=<token> on the website that states the TIN and the published bio page must contain a link to that domain.
- Tier 3: Complete both DNS verification and a confirmation bank transfer with verification of the corporate bank account holder's name.
We reject all requests to claim a name or grant a badge if the requester cannot prove actual control under the above technical standards.
4. Prohibition of speculation, trading, and impersonation
- No speculation or name squatting: It is strictly prohibited to register identifiers in bulk for the purpose of resale, rental, extortion, or preventing lawful owners from using the name.
- No impersonation: It is strictly prohibited to register names that are confusingly similar to other individuals, organizations, public authorities, or brands for the purpose of fraud, identity impersonation, or profiteering.
- Names confirmed to be in violation will be permanently locked: Any name with a confirmed abuse or fraud case by administrators will be moved to permanently blocked status and a tombstone will be stored; that name will never be returned to the market for new registration.
5. Renaming rules and 90-day quarantine period
- Renaming limit: Each bio page may be renamed at most once within 30 days.
- Old name redirect: After renaming, the old bio name will automatically redirect (301) to the new name for 90 days to avoid disrupting user traffic.
- 90-day quarantine period: After the 90-day redirect period (or immediately after a name is deleted, released, or revoked), that name will enter a mandatory quarantine period of exactly 90 days. During the 90-day quarantine, no one (including the former owner or a new user) may register this name, in order to protect visitors from subdomain takeover attacks and preserve link integrity. After the 90-day quarantine ends, the name will return to available status if there is no dispute.
6. Policy on revocation of inactive names
- Free names inactive for 12 months: Bio names under the Free plan that have no real human visits for 12 consecutive months will be placed on the revocation list. We send an email notice to the account owner at least 30 days in advance; if there is no response or activity after 30 days, the name will be released and placed into the 90-day quarantine process.
- Paid plan names and verified pages: Names under the Pro or Business plans, or pages that have been granted a business verification badge, will never be revoked for inactivity.
7. Dispute resolution and 24-hour handling period
When a dispute arises between two parties over the right to use a bio name:
- The parties send a request with legal evidence (trademark protection certificate, business license) to [email protected] or the /report page.
- We acknowledge receipt and provide an initial response within 24 hours.
- During the dispute review period, we may temporarily place the page in pending review status or temporarily redirect it if there are clear grounds for fraud risk.
- 1Go's final decision is based on the principles of prioritizing lawful trademark owners and good faith in name use.
